BitSherpa ("BitSherpa," "we," "us," or "our") respects your privacy. This policy explains what information we collect when you visit mybitsherpa.com or contact us, how we use it, who we share it with, and the choices you have. It also describes how we handle data on the platforms we manage for our clients.

Information we collect

We collect two kinds of information:

• Information you give us. When you submit our contact form or otherwise reach out, we collect your name, email address, phone number (if provided), and the contents of your message.
• Information collected automatically. Like most websites, we use analytics that record standard technical and usage data: pages viewed, referring links, approximate location derived from your IP address, browser and device type, and similar diagnostic information. This is collected through cookies and similar technologies.

How we use your information

• To respond to your inquiry and provide the consulting or advisory services you request.
• To operate, maintain, and improve our website and understand how visitors use it.
• To communicate with you about your request, our services, or scheduling.
• To comply with legal obligations and protect against fraud or abuse.

We do not sell your personal information, and we do not use it for advertising profiling.

Cookies and analytics

We use Google Analytics to understand site traffic and improve the experience. Google Analytics sets cookies and processes usage data on our behalf; you can learn more at Google's privacy policy. Data from platforms we manage for clients

As part of our digital marketing and SEO services, BitSherpa is sometimes authorized by a client to access their accounts on third-party platforms (for example, Pinterest, Google Search Console, Google Analytics, and Shopify) through those platforms' official APIs. When we do:

• We access this data only with the account owner's explicit authorization, and only to provide reporting, analysis, and content services to that client.
• We use the data solely for the client engagement it was granted for. We do not sell it, share it with unrelated third parties, or use it for any unrelated purpose.
• Our use of each platform's data is also governed by that platform's developer terms and policies. Account owners can revoke our access at any time through the platform.

How we share information

We share information only with service providers who help us operate, and only as needed for them to perform their function:

• Google (analytics), which processes website usage data.
• FormSubmit, which delivers contact-form submissions to our inbox.

We may also disclose information if required by law, or to protect the rights, safety, and property of BitSherpa or others. We do not sell or rent personal information to anyone.

Data retention

We keep contact-form submissions and related correspondence for as long as needed to respond to your request and maintain our business records, then delete or anonymize it. Analytics data is retained according to our analytics provider's standard retention settings.

Your rights and choices

Depending on where you live, you may have the right to access, correct, or delete the personal information we hold about you, or to object to or restrict certain processing. To exercise any of these rights, email us at brandon@mybitsherpa.com and we will respond within a reasonable timeframe. You can also unsubscribe from any non-essential communication at any time.

Data security

We use reasonable administrative and technical safeguards to protect the information we hold. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, however, so we cannot guarantee absolute security.

Children's privacy

Our website and services are intended for businesses and adults. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe a child has provided us information, please contact us and we will delete it.

Changes to this policy

We may update this policy from time to time. When we do, we will revise the "Last updated" date above. Material changes will be reflected on this page.
